LimakConnect Terms of Service
These Terms explain how accounting firms, portal users, and personal workspace users may use LimakConnect.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern the use of LimakConnect, a client communication, portal, workflow, tax-record, and e-signature platform operated by Limak Solutions Pty Ltd.
By registering a tenant account, activating a portal account, creating a personal workspace, or otherwise using LimakConnect, you agree to these Terms.
2. Platform services
LimakConnect provides software tools for accounting firms, tax agents, advisory practices, client portal users, and personal workspace users. Platform features may include secure document exchange, reminders, notifications, tax return storage, extracted tax values, analytics, shared workspaces, signatures, and subscription billing.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure.
Tenant administrators are responsible for firm user access under their tenant. Personal workspace users and portal users are responsible for their own sign-in details and for notifying LimakConnect promptly if they believe their account has been compromised.
4. Subscription, trials, and billing
Subscription access may be subject to plan limits, trial periods, grace periods, communication allowances, and add-on bundles.
Trials may expire or be restricted if they are not converted to a paid plan. Purchased plans and prepaid bundles may also be subject to non-refund rules except where required by law.
5. Communications compliance
Firms using LimakConnect for email or SMS communications are responsible for ensuring they have the required consent and that their communications comply with applicable law, including unsubscribe and opt-out obligations.
6. Electronic signatures
LimakConnect may be used to send, receive, and sign documents electronically. Users who proceed with electronic signing consent to using electronic records and signatures where legally permitted.
Users remain responsible for determining whether a document is suitable for electronic signing.
7. Data ownership and workspace model
Personal workspaces are client-owned. Attaching an accountant or firm grants access but does not transfer ownership of the workspace or its tax history.
Tenant client records, firm engagement records, internal workflow records, communication history, signature records, and other tenant-operated operational data remain tenant-owned or tenant-controlled.
If a personal workspace user detaches a firm, the workspace remains with the client. The firm may continue to retain its own engagement records and compliance history created during the engagement.
8. Uploaded files, extraction, and analytics
Users may upload tax return PDFs and other documents into the platform. Extracted values, comparisons, dashboards, and planning insights are provided as informational workflow tools only.
Automated extraction may be incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate depending on the source file. Users must review and confirm extracted values before relying on them.
LimakConnect does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse LimakConnect, interfere with the platform, attempt unauthorised access, upload unlawful or harmful material, or use the service in a way that breaches privacy, messaging, or other applicable laws.
10. Third-party services
LimakConnect may rely on third-party providers for hosting, payments, messaging, storage, email delivery, and other operational functions. Service availability may depend partly on those providers.
11. Suspension and termination
Limak Solutions may suspend or restrict access where required for security, non-payment, misuse, legal compliance, or platform protection.
Termination or expiry of a tenant subscription does not automatically transfer or reassign client-owned workspace data into a tenant account.
12. Data deletion and retention
Data deletion behaviour may vary depending on whether the record is client-owned or tenant-owned. Certain records may be retained for operational, legal, audit, or compliance reasons.
Deleting a workspace, client, or tenant may be irreversible.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LimakConnect is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free extraction, or that the platform will be suitable for every professional or personal purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Limak Solutions excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LimakConnect after an update takes effect will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
